Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Review

Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Cuisinart ICE-21 Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker. LINK TO Cuisinart ICE-21: . LINK TO Vanilla Beans: . LINK TO Vanilla Extract:
It comes in white and red. The unit comes with the base, freezer bowl, mixing paddle and lid.
All the parts that come into contact with food are BPA-free. There is cord storage in the base. The base has rubber feet which should keep it from moving around on your counter.
An instruction manual with really good ice cream and sorbet recipes is included.
This unit makes up to 1.5 quarts of ice cream. Pour ingredients through the opening in the lid. It’s nice to be able to see how the ice cream is forming.
The bowl has cooling liquid between a double insulated wall, hear it. This bowl has to be put in your freezer for 16 to 24 hours until the liquid is frozen. The bowl should be completely dry and placed in the back of your freezer which is generally the coldest part of the freezer. It’s best to store the bowl in your freezer so you can take it out and make ice cream whenever you want.
We’ll make pure vanilla ice cream to test the cuisinart. In my bowl, I’ll mix milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract and vanilla beans that I’ve scraped out from these pods. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Chill this mixture in the fridge for two hours or overnight.
My bowl has been in the freezer for 24 hours and now you work quickly because the bowl will start to thaw. Place the frozen bowl on the base, put the paddle in, cover on, turn the switch on and the bowl will turn, pour in your chilled ice cream mixture. Ice cream should be done in about 20 minutes.
The unit is pretty quiet. Our ice cream is done and looks a little bit harder than soft serve. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer safe container. Use a non-stick spatula as metal spoons can scratch the surface. Don’t store anything in this bowl.
The ice cream tastes so creamy and full of intense vanilla flavor. You can control the ingredients that go into your ice cream when you make it at home. Making sorbet or frozen yogurt in the unit is a healthy dessert option. It’s easy to clean because you just have to rinse out this bowl. I wait until the bowl is room temperature and wash it out.
All the parts should be washed in warm soapy water. Do not use the dishwasher. Remember to dry all the parts before using.The base can be wiped down.

My freezer is really cold so it only takes a few hours. typically 2-3 before it’s frozen solid(Shake the bowl, if you hear any sloshing it still needs to be in the freezer).

Thanks for the nice video for preparing an flavorful ice cream. I bought an different model of cuisinart and, the first Ice cream I will prepare is called Kulfi. It’s an special recipe that when I prepare it everyone at home goes insane!
