For our new kitchen, we bought KitchenAid dishwasher and after installation, it never worked. The technician came over and confirmed that the motor and control board are dead. Since they don’t have these parts in stock, they need to order them and it can take 6-10 business days to receive them. I also called kitchen aid customer service and they refused to replace the unit and they mentioned that the WARRANTY is for repairing the unit even if it is brand new and it’s been never used! Now, we have to wait almost for a month for our BRAND new dishwasher to work!

I have a cheap bottom of the line Kenmore dishwasher from 2001, no bells and whistles. It just cleans the dishes every single time and ompletely dries them. No fuss. Never, ever a break down.

Imperial LeBaron says:

First of all, KitchenAid hasn’t built a good dishwasher since Hobart sold them to Whirlpool. As for being quiet,  I like an appliance that makes noise. You can tell what they’re doing.

mr. yale, is LG or Kitchen Aid better?

Those little plastic clips that hold the upper rack in and adjust it are a challenge.. it’s impossible to figure out where they go if they pop off.
