Nice video. I installed the Fanlinc last year along with a 6 button keypad in the master bedroom. That was a challenge linking them together. Ended up calling support and they walked me through configuring it as scenes for each button. The support was surprisingly good. I would like to use homekit but last I looked, the insteon homekit hub did not work with motion sensors. I have several setup for outside and this is a deal breaker. So I use the 2245-222 hub.

Helpful video, thanks. I REALLY wish Insteon would create more detailed how to videos on the software and device configuration. They build good equipment, but their software needs a serious refresh. Needs to be more intuitive.

please talk about Google integration on your videos. I’m invested in their ecosystem and I love your videos

Kevin Rush says:

Insteon is great and with Amazon Alexa it is even better.  Insteon has wall devices in “most all” the electrical device colors.  No need to have the new devices in your house be white while the others are ivory or almond or…

Michael Wright says:

Is this HomeKit compatible?

Kevin Britain says:

Really cool video.. so like you I have a dumb ceiling fan with light but connected to a Lutron fan/light switch, however the switch is a dumb switch as well meaning it can’t communicate with my Lutron hub due to compatibility reasons as well as I really do like the look/feel of the Lutron switches.. my question is do you think I’d be able to connect a smart controller such as this to my existing Lutron switch system?

John Salazar says:

The IOS version of Insteon software is a million times nicer than the Android version.

The Tmh says:

Nice Video!

Lachlant1984 says:

Would this product work with ceiling fans that use a wall controller or a pull cord switch mounted in the ceiling fan unit itself? Many people I’ve known have had ceiling fans that have wall controllers, but my parents’ house has ceiling fans with pull cords.
