Glass Blenders (Plastic-free container) that I reviewed in this video:
1:50 Kenmore 40708 * http://amzn.to/2G2SIWz
5:53 Waring Pro (also looks like exactly same blender is sold by Cuisinart) * http://amzn.to/2F6wXUz
7:42 Dynablend Clean DB-950 * http://amzn.to/2F4emsh
11:48 Oster Pro 1200 * http://amzn.to/2DoSEyr
Based on my personal experience the best blender is Oster Pro * http://amzn.to/2DoSEyr
Best is base on:
1) food safety (no plastic scrapes and Teflon flakes)
2) price
3) durability
4) performance
(not in any specific order)
To make the glass Oster blender even more food-safe and plastic-free, I recommend switching from the included rubber seal to a silicone seal and use a silicone lid instead of the included plastic lid.

BPA-FREE PLASTIC – SCIENTIFIC STUDY – INDEPENDENT:
The claim of “BPA Free” is according to the manufacturer NOT according to several INDEPENDENT (as in not paid or influenced by the manufacturer) scientists.
There are several studies (US and European) that show that “BPA-Free” Tritan plastic (used by Vitamix and many others) leaches BPA and other toxic chemicals.

Hello! Does your Oster Pro 1200 have a small black “rubber” gasket beneath the blades between the blades and the metal stem which the blades are attached to? Mine does. All the Oster Pro 1200’s I’ve seen do, too (and I’ve seen about 3 of them).
You can probably make your own seal by cutting one out of the smaller silicon lids that you may not need.
you should do skits on snl
If You’re having problems with the rubber gasket in the Oster Pro 1200, make a silicone one yourself. A YouTuber named “helpfulnatural” did it easily for next to nothing. She shows how to do it and says it works perfectly. She also has several excellent videos on what this very powerful blender can do with its 6-point reversing blade. It even liquifies chia seeds and turns ice into snow. She sold her Vitamix because of its nasty plastic jar which became cloudy, scratched and smelly and loves her Oster Pro 1200 which gets heavy daily use.
I have the Pro 1200 set with a 5-cup food processor attachment and a 24-ounce travel cup and it’s great. Cost: $89.99. The blender and cup alone are around $60.00. Bought mine from oster.com with free shipping. Target also sells them. Warranty: 10 years on the all-metal drive train and 3 years on everything else. Oster sells replacement parts.
thank you for all of your research! ❤️
Love this comparison! I’ve had the Oster Pro 1200 for just over 2 years and still use it every single day. I too do not like the rubber gasket seals so I made my own seals using a Wilton silicone baking sheet. It’s true, silicone seals much better than the rubber ones do. I may have to get some of those Dynablend silicone seals. 🙂
You rule!!! Thank you so much!
So is the Oster Pro 1200 powerful enough to blend frozen bananas or other frozen food into ice cream or sorbet? Is it as close to powerful as the Vitamix?
You need to speak louder

very nice
I thought you were Russian first, then German, then Greek. My first thought was correct; I shouldn’t have overthought. Thank you I will subscribe.
Lena, your husband and son are quite lucky to have a woman as concerned as you are about health and environment! Thanks so much for sharing your research. Why doesn’t Vitamix just make a glass container?
I have a vitamix .. used many times per day .. I wonder if a glass jug can be found to fit it because it does have a powerful motor .. thanks for your research 🙂
Hello 🙂 I noticed in one on your videos you used a Vitamix and a stainless steel container. We are in the market to purchase a new blender for juicing but want to avoid any toxic materials, plastic scrapes, BPA, phthalate, and Teflon as much as possible. I hear good things about the Vitamix but also that there is or was an issue with black specks during mixing, also the jar being plastic is an issue for me. Now, I am not opposed to purchasing it, and only using the additional stainless steel container if that is the safest way to go. Or would you recommend the Oster Pro 1200 with the glass jar? Does the Oster blend as well as the Vitamix or well enough for juicing? What blender would you recommend? What is in your opinion the “safest” and best blender for juicing, even if I have to purchase a separate container? Thank you in advance! 🙂 Ludovit
