Delonghi AN125HPEKC Portable Room Air Conditioner Unboxing and Review 12,500 BTU

Opening the Delonghi AN125HPEKC 12,500 BTU Portable AC Unit I bought at Costco. Works great at cooling a room that is 20′ x 20′. Easy to set up. The window brackets could be built more sturdy though.

What do you do when the window panel is too short for your window? Is there a way to extend it?

The noise is not as bad as it sounds on the video. It is kind of like white noise.

Watching with the sound off…sigh.

I purchased this same unit a few days ago and I’m very happy with it. I too have a second story room with poor ventilation and this really does a great job of cooling it quickly and comfortably. And your right, it’s not as noisy as the video. I’m not sure if it would be quiet enough for a bedroom but I guess that would depend on how light a sleeper you are. After all, it is a compressor.

The set up was easy, as you say. Yes, the window brackets seem a little shakey especially if your window is large-mine is 46″ vertically–but I found that using the adhesive-sided weather stripping along the side of the brackets that meets the closing window gives it a little more sturdiness and keeps the plastic pegs in place. All in all, I’m very satisfied with this unit and would definitely recommend it. In fact, I wish I had bought it sooner.
